San Antonio Convention and Trade Show Photographer
This is home. San Antonio convention photography, conference photography and trade show photography since 1987, from the company headquartered here, with two San Antonio locations and a photographer who lives twenty minutes from the convention center.
We are the San Antonio convention photographers that meeting planners, event planners, association executives and convention managers call when a program runs across the Henry B. González Convention Center, the River Walk hotels and the Hill Country resorts. Coverage includes general session and keynote speaker photography, exhibitor booth and trade show floor photography, corporate event photography, awards banquets, poster sessions and attendee candids.
Add a San Antonio headshot station, onsite printing and photo marketing, green screen activations or medical conference photography to the same booking. One crew, one invoice, galleries delivered while the show is still running.
What a San Antonio booking includes
Same day galleries. Edited selects posted while the program is still running, not a week later.
Full usage rights. Print, web, social and next year’s promotion. No per image licensing, no reuse fees.
Certificate of insurance. Professional liability naming your venue as additional insured, usually back within one business day.
Dual card capture. Every camera writes to two cards. Nothing has ever been lost on a job.
An RFP ready proposal. Named photographer, hours, deliverables and turnaround, in a format you can drop into a sourcing packet.
Where we work in San Antonio
San Antonio convention centers, resorts and event venues we photograph
These are rooms we have worked for decades, not a coverage area we could drive to. When a program splits between downtown and the Hill Country, we know the drive time and we build the run of show around it.

Henry B. González Convention Center
The room we have photographed more than any other. Exhibit hall and trade show floor photography, general sessions, registration, poster sessions and the headshot station that pulls the most booth traffic.

Convention Center rooftop terrace
Opening receptions and networking events above downtown, with the Tower of the Americas behind them. One of the strongest backdrops in the city for attendee candids.

JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country
Association annual meetings, president’s club and incentive programs. Keynote and general session photography in the ballrooms, golf and outdoor receptions on the property.

Hill Country resort outdoor receptions
Themed evening events, live music and outdoor networking under Texas sky. The frames that sell next year’s meeting to next year’s registrants.

Grand Hyatt San Antonio
Awards banquets and corporate meeting photography on the River Walk, connected to the convention center.

Stable Hall at the Pearl
Offsite evening events and private concerts for convention groups, a short ride from downtown.

The River Walk
Corporate receptions, group dinners and the establishing frames that tell a planner’s board exactly which city the meeting was in.

The Alamo and downtown
Group photography and corporate team shots at the landmark every out of town attendee wants in the recap.

Onsite printing and green screen stations
Branded prints and green screen activations built into the exhibit floor. Onsite printing turns a photograph into a captured lead before the attendee leaves the booth.
What we shoot in San Antonio
San Antonio conference, convention and trade show photography services
Everything below runs on the same booking, one crew and one invoice. Most San Antonio clients combine three or four.
San Antonio convention and conference photography
Full run of show coverage: opening general session, keynote speaker photography, breakouts, panels, poster sessions, awards banquets and closing receptions across the convention program.
Trade show and exhibitor booth photography
Clean exhibitor booth frames before doors open, then booth traffic and staff engagement once the Henry B. González exhibit hall is live. Exhibitors and sponsors use the two sets differently.
San Antonio headshot stations and headshot lounges
A sponsored headshot station is usually the highest traffic thing a booth can run. Attendees queue for a free professional headshot and leave an email to receive the file.
Green screen and photo activations
Green screen backdrops and branded photo activations that put attendees inside your campaign, printed on the spot or pushed straight to social.
Onsite printing and photo marketing
Branded prints handed to attendees on the floor plus a live feed to your marketing team. Onsite printing is the highest converting thing most exhibitors run.
Medical and scientific conference photography
Poster sessions, research presentations, product theaters and restricted rooms handled to your consent and badge rules. See medical conference photography.
Corporate meetings, awards and holiday events
Board meetings, sales kickoffs, awards banquets and company holiday parties across the downtown hotels and Hill Country resorts.
Business headshots and commercial work
Studio and onsite business headshots in San Antonio, plus commercial and corporate photography for local companies. This page covers conventions and trade shows; local commercial work lives on that page.
For meeting and event planners
How we work with San Antonio meeting planners and convention managers
Most of the people who hire us are meeting planners, event planners, association executives and convention managers running a multi day program in San Antonio. Here is what you need before you put a photographer on the RFP.
San Antonio headquarters
San Antonio is home base, so scheduling and logistics stay simple. The number you are quoted is the number you pay.
Multi day conference coverage
A three day San Antonio annual meeting is quoted as one engagement, with hourly coverage across the whole program rolled into a single clear price. Send the run of show and we build around opening reception, general sessions, breakouts, the exhibit hall and the closing gala.
Second photographers when rooms overlap
When breakouts run concurrently or the awards gala overlaps a sponsor event, we add a second photographer from a small team trained in house rather than subcontracting to whoever is free that week.
Same day turnaround and deliverables
Edited frames reach your shared folder throughout the show so your social, press and sponsorship teams can use them live. Full gallery the same day, organized by session.
Full usage rights, no drip pricing
Unlimited usage rights for marketing, press, sponsor recaps, next year’s promotion and your website. No per image licensing and no reuse fees surfacing later.
Certificate of insurance for your venue
Professional liability with a certificate naming the Henry B. González Convention Center, the JW Marriott Hill Country or your hotel as additional insured, normally back within one business day.
RFP ready proposals
A written proposal with a named photographer, hours, deliverables and turnaround, in a format you can drop straight into a sourcing packet or take to board approval.
VIP, keynote and sponsor priority shots
Send the shot list that matters: VIP arrivals, the board photo, the sponsor logo wall, the ribbon cutting, the award handoff. Those get shot first and delivered first, alongside registration and networking candids.

Nationwide
San Antonio is home, but the calendar is national
When your association annual meeting rotates out of San Antonio, the same crew follows it, so year three looks like year one instead of like a different vendor.
FAQ: Questions San Antonio planners ask
Are you actually based in San Antonio?
Yes. San Antonio is headquarters, with two locations here, a downtown office and the head office. Joseph Rodriguez has lived and worked here since starting the business in 1987 and is on site personally for essentially every San Antonio booking.
Are you familiar with San Antonio’s major venues?
Yes. As the home market, we know San Antonio’s convention venues well enough to walk in without a scouting day.
How fast do we get the photos?
Selected edited frames go to your shared folder throughout the show so your social and press team can post while the hashtag is still live. The complete gallery is finished the same day.
Can you cover the convention center and a Hill Country resort on the same program?
Yes, and it is common in San Antonio. Programs split between the Henry B. González Convention Center downtown and the JW Marriott Hill Country. We build the run of show around the drive and move with your attendees.
What does a headshot station cost to add?
It is quoted as an add on to the main coverage rather than a separate booking, because we are already on site with the crew and lighting. Tell us expected volume and hours and we will scope it.
Do you do green screen and onsite printing at the booth?
Yes to both. Green screen activations and branded prints handed to attendees on the floor, plus a live feed to your marketing team. Agree the print design a week or two out so the template is ready before doors open.
Do you carry insurance and can you provide a certificate?
Yes. Professional liability, with a certificate naming your venue as additional insured, normally back within one business day of the request.
Do you photograph medical and scientific conferences?
Yes, including poster sessions and research presentations. Restricted rooms are handled to your consent and badge rules. See our medical conference photography page.
What about video at the same event?
We shoot 4K video alongside the stills on the same booking, with one crew and one invoice. You can take the footage raw for your own editor or have us deliver a finished edit.
How far in advance should we book San Antonio?
Spring and autumn association season fills fast at the convention center. If your dates are in those windows, talk to us as soon as the venue is contracted. Outside them we can often take shorter notice.
Do you photograph exhibitor booths before the show opens?
Yes, and it is the right way to do it. Clean booth frames during the quiet window before doors, then traffic and staff engagement once the floor is live.
Will our photos be used to advertise your business?
Only with permission. Many clients are happy for their event to appear in our portfolio, some are not, and a few have restrictions on which frames. Tell us at booking and we will honor it.
Tell us your San Antonio dates and your venue
Send the dates, the venue and roughly how many rooms need covering at once. You get back a written proposal with a named photographer, hours, deliverables and turnaround, in a format you can drop straight into a sourcing packet.
San Antonio is home base, so scheduling stays simple. Two San Antonio offices, thirty nine years on these show floors, and same day galleries delivered while your program is still running.
